Having left Siem Reap, Cambodia we arrived late in the evening in Hong Kong. As always the views as you arrive are breathtaking. Hong Kong's skyline never disappoints.

The view across the Harbour to Hong Kong Island
Out sight seeing on our first day took us to Wan Chai where I took this photo of the building in which we lived while we lived in Hong Kong. The area has undergone major changes over the years and the speed of recent changes really surprised me. The original Post Office building is one of the very few examples of older architecture left standing.

The new, not so old and very old! Side by side as always.

The market area of Wan Chai is as vibrant as ever. Many locals shop daily for fresh meat and vegetables. The live poultry stalls will soon be a thing of the past. After the devastating outbreak of Bird 'flu no new licenses have been granted and none will be renewed when their time runs out. However in the meantime you can still chose your bird and have it killed, cleaned and plucked while you wait.
