A Visit To The Kuang Si Waterfalls and Asiatic Black Bear (Moon Bears) Rescue Centre

Another early start for our trip to the Waterfalls. The 30kms journey was nothing short of hair raising in a Tuk Tuk. The driver took the shortest course by cutting every corner and bend along the way.

Along the way we passed different landscapes... Forests, clearances and well cared for allotments.

The villagers use local timber for fuel for cooking.

One allotment even had an irrigation system.

"Maureen capture the moment"!

At this point Maureen was treating me like a performing seal.  Gesturing to me to swim this way and that so she could capture the moment.  There were even signs that she was filming the scene.  Sad to say these shots of what look like a coconut (my head) floating about are the only record we have of a truly memorable experience.

These Moon Bears have been rescued from what we consider cruel miserable lives in Asia. Unfortunately not all cultures see these adorable cute animals as we do.
